G20 “Terrorist Plot” Exposed As Teenagers With Plastic Guns And Fireworks

Media Hype whips up frenzy ahead of G20 protests

Infowars >> 31st March 2009

Yesterday’s reports of a foiled “terrorist plot” in relation to the G20 protests in London have been scaled back after it was revealed that the house raided by police contained only plastic guns and fireworks.

“The three men, aged 25, 19 and 16, and two women, both 20, all live in Plymouth and the surrounding area,” reported The Guardian.

“They are political activists unaffiliated to any terrorist organisation, and were arrested at addresses in Plymouth. They are being held under terrorism legislation. The explosive devices were made from simple fireworks, police said.”

Nevertheless, police have called in Royal Navy bomb disposal experts to deal with the weapons.

The police have also said that they recovered “allegedly extremist materials”, without further expanding on what they might be.

“At a press conference at Crownhill police station in Plymouth, Assistant Chief Constable Paul Netherton said the investigation was sparked when a 25-year-old man was arrested for spray-painting on a wall in Plymouth city centre – but would not comment on the nature of the graffiti,” reported the Press Association.

It has since come to light that the graffiti read ‘Antifa’, which is the name of an anti-racist movement that advocates the use of violence against extreme right-wing groups.

The youths, who were initially arrested on drug charges, are now being held under the terrorism act.

Meanwhile, fresh reports have emerged alleging that anarchists are planning to pose as peaceful protesters as a cover to seed chaos in the capital.

Hundreds of activists are hoping to fool police by pretending to be part of legitimate demonstrations, before breaking off and storming city banks, according to the London Evening Standard which says it infiltrated an anarchist leaders meeting yesterday.

Other reports have revealed that the SAS is being readied to react to any “terrorist” activity.

Rather bizarrely, it has also been revealed an entire network of central London’s wireless CCTV cameras will be turned off during the protests because they have been deemed to be illegal.

Austin police blood draw debate brings anger to public forum

Tuesday, March 31st, 2009

KEYETV >> 31st March 2009

Anger was high Monday night in the debate over the police department’s policy to draw blood if they suspect someone of driving while intoxicated and they refuse a breathalyzer test.

The Austin Police Department and city leaders held a community forum in City Council chambers that was almost shut down due to the commotion.

Chief Art Acevedo is pushing for a federally-funded program which would train police officers to withdraw blood, by force if necessary, from those who refuse a breathalyzer test.

‘I have never read the EU constitution’, admits Europe Minister Caroline Flint

Tuesday, March 31st, 2009

The Daily Mail >> 31st March 2009

The Government minister responsible for the revived EU constitution made an astonishing gaffe by admitting she had never read it.

Europe Minister Caroline Flint admitted she had only been ‘briefed’ on parts of a document that surrenders a raft of British powers to Brussels.

Labour has refused to give British voters a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty on the grounds that it is ‘substantially’ different to the dumped constitution.

But during a Commons debate, Ms Flint confessed she had not read all of the despised charter.

Critics said it was an ‘extraordinary admission’ to make.

Mark Francois, the Tory Europe spokesman, said: ”It is not every day that someone will admit they haven’t read the most important document for their job.

‘Her astonishing admission does leave some questions. How does she know if the Treaty is good for Britain if she hasn’t read it?

UK: MPs to censor their own expenses

Tuesday, March 31st, 2009

MPs are to set to begin censoring their own expenses records before they are published.

London Telegraph >> 31st March 2009

Members will this week be shown copies of thousands of receipts and other documents due to be published under the Freedom of Information Act.

They will be invited to redact the documents, blacking out information they do not want to disclose.

The Commons is spending thousands of pounds paying security-cleared specialist contractors to remove any sensitive information like bank details from receipts.

But even after the contractors have vetted the documents, MPs will review their claims and make further changes of their own.

Released We Are Change members tell of “inhumane, insane surreal” experience

Prison Planet >> 30th March 2009

We Are Change New York members have described the “inhumane, insane and surreal” experience of being arrested by police for asking Mayor Bloomberg a question and promise that “the full story of this incident is yet to be heard.”

Luke Rudkowski, along with fellow We Are Change members Manny and Anthony, were all arrested on Saturday night for asking Bloomberg a question about 9/11 first responders outside the Hilton Hotel on Sixth Avenue.

They followed orders by police to stay in one designated area and yet were arrested for trespassing and were later hit with the charge of “impersonating a journalist,” despite having Infowars press credentials.

As The George Washington Blog points out today, “The media organization which sponsors Rudkowski is, a website which has many times the readership of small town “establishment” or “professional” newspapers. Indeed, given the popularity of Infowars and its sister sites, and, the Infowars news network probably has more readers than all but the largest traditional newspapers. So the issue cannot be one of size or audience.”

Our recent exclusive report about the MIAC controversy became a national story, being covered by Fox News and the Associated Press, amongst hundreds of other mainstream news outlets. To claim that Infowars is not a genuine media outfit is manifestly absurd.

“Rudkowski’s arrest – like Amy Goodman’s arrest at the RNC convention for documenting violence against protestors – is an attempt to crack down on real attempts to question the powers-that-be and to document their actions,” concludes the George Washington Blog.

The We Are Change members have all now finally been released from Manhattan central bookings. They plan to air a live web broadcast at 10pm Eastern tonight to tell the full story and broadcast footage that led up to the incident. However, since the prosecution has seized all three of the group’s cameras and footage of the incident as criminal evidence, new cameras will have to be purchased.

We Are Change are asking all concerned activists to help them buy more cameras and create a legal defense fund by making a donation. They are also asking anyone who can offer legal services to contact

The court case will be in two months and the group is planning a countersuit on the basis of false arrest, official oppression and violation of the 1st amendment.

“You can try to stop me, but you cant stop the idea of CHANGE! This is not over by any means,” promises Luke Rudkowski.

The Obama Government: Take From the Poor and Give to the Rich

The government cannot just abrogate contracts.” Like a mad dog pursuing its prey, he pounced on the conclusion that absolutely nothing could be done about the bonuses. Rise of sea levels is ‘the greatest lie ever told’

The uncompromising verdict of Dr Mörner is that all this talk about the sea rising is nothing but a colossal scare story, writes Christopher Booker.

Although the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) only predicts a sea level rise of 59cm (17 inches) by 2100, Al Gore in his Oscar-winning film An Inconvenient Truth went much further, talking of 20 feet, and showing computer graphics of cities such as Shanghai and San Francisco half under water. UK: G20 protesters face police with Tasers

Sunday, March 29th, 2009

Sunday Times >> 29th March 2009

SCOTLAND YARD is to deploy officers armed with 50,000-volt Taser stun guns to deal with violent demonstrators planning to disrupt this week’s G20 summit in London.

The centrepiece of the security plan will be hundreds of officers from the Metropolitan police territorial support group, who are routinely armed with speedcuffs, extended batons and CS gas spray.

The Met confirmed yesterday that they will be supported by officers equipped with Tasers on stand-by should trouble break out.

“There will be an armed response vehicle element to this operation and [those officers] will be carrying Tasers,” said a spokeswoman.

Spain opens criminal case against Bush officials

Sunday, March 29th, 2009

Press TV >> 29th March 2009

A Spanish court has agreed to open a criminal case against six former Bush administration officials over allegations of supporting torture.

Gonzalo Boye, a Madrid lawyer who filed the complaint, told the AP on Saturday that human rights lawyers brought the case before leading anti-terror judge Baltasar Garzon.

Garzon who is famous for ordering the arrest of former Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet in 1998 has accepted the case and sent it to the prosecutor’s office for review.

The former US officials including then attorney general Alberto Gonzales are accused of giving legal cover for interrogation methods like waterboarding against prisoners at Guantanamo Bay detention center in Cuba.

Poll: What happened to Obama’s Campaign Promise of Peace?

Sunday, March 29th, 2009

OpEdNews >> Originally Published 27th March 2009

President Obama was elected with an overwhelming mandate for peace. He promised to withdraw troops from Iraq, to close Guantanamo, and to end the practices of torture, domestic spying and detention without trial. He decried the dictatorial arrogation of power that Bush had claimed as President.

Once in office, Obama retained Robert Gates as Defense Secretary, despite the fact that Gates is an outspoken Middle East hawk, (Gates was also involved in the Iran/Contra scandal of the 1980s, and is linked to election theft in 2002 and 2004.)

Obama now talks about keeping 50,000 troops in Iraq indefinitely. He says it will take at least a year to close Guantanamo. His Justice Dept is defending the Bush Constitutional abuses in the US Court of Appeals. And he has said he wouldn’t want to do anything to ‘weaken the Presidency’.

What is Obama thinking?
