Threat of the ‘thought police’ alarms Israel’s Arab minority

Freedom to oppose Israel’s right to exist among acts that right-wing politicians are attempting to outlaw

London Independent >> 30th May 2009

Israeli Arab leaders have called an emergency meeting today to discuss their growing alarm over a series of “racist and fascist” bills being promoted by right-wing members of the country’s parliament. One of the bills has already brought fierce accusations from two prominent Jewish Knesset members that its backers are trying to create a “thought police” and “punish people for talking”.

The Higher Arab Monitoring Committee – the main umbrella body of Arab political and civic leaders in Israel – cited special concern over another bill which would outlaw the commemoration of the Nakba or catastrophe on Israel’s Independence Day. While Israel’s Declaration of Independence on 14 May 1948 is celebrated annually as the foundation of the state, Palestinians in Israel, Gaza, the West Bank and in refugee camps abroad mark the expulsion and flight of some 700,000 Arabs during the war of that year.

But the Committee is also protesting at another bill, which was given its first reading in the Knesset this week, that would make it a crime to negate Israel’s right to exist as a “Jewish and democratic state”.

Judge Sonia Sotomayor Would Be the First Hispanic on the Supreme Court if Confirmed

Washington, DC-NCLR (National Council of La Raza), the largest national Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization in the United States, applauds President Obama’s nomination for Supreme Court Justice, Judge Sonia Sotomayor, to replace retiring Justice David Souter.

“Today is a monumental day for Latinos. Finally, we see ourselves represented on the highest court in the land,” said Janet Murguía, NCLR President and CEO. “Judge Sotomayor’s story personifies the American Dream for so many Latinos in this country.”

“By nominating someone with the experience, background, and superb legal credentials of Sonia Sotomayor, President Obama has made an excellent choice for the entire country,” added Murguía. “The President wanted a justice who not only is a respected jurist, but also understands how the law affects the lives of everyday people. Judge Sotomayor embodies those qualities.”

“We commend President Obama for making this historic appointment and for recognizing that excellence and diversity are not mutually exclusive,” concluded Murguía.

FBI ‘lured dimwits’ into terror plot

The arrest of petty crooks over a plan to target Jews has put the use of sting operations under fire

The Sunday Times >> Originally Published 24th May 2009

ON the steps of New York city hall on Friday, Michael Bloomberg, the mayor, praised the police officers and federal agents who helped disrupt an apparent terrorist plot to blow up a synagogue and shoot down military aircraft.

The mayor was flanked by more than 100 homeland security and counter-terrorist specialists, all of whom had a hand in an elaborate sting that netted four alleged Muslim extremists. Their plan, according to FBI agents, was to detonate a “fireball that would make the country gasp”.

The operation was acclaimed by New York officials for its success in averting what David Paterson, the state governor, described as “a heinous crime”.

Yet not every New Yorker was impressed by the latest in a long line of purported anti-terrorist triumphs that have supposedly averted tragedy in New York, Chicago, Toronto and several other North American cities since September 11, 2001.

“This whole operation was a foolish waste of time and money,” claimed Terence Kindlon, a defence lawyer who represented the last terror suspect to be tried in New York state. “It is almost as if the FBI cooked up the plot and found four idiots to install as defendants.”

Kindlon’s complaints were echoed by other legal experts who have repeatedly questioned the FBI’s reliance on undercover informants – known as confidential witnesses (CWs) – who lure gullible radicals into far-fetched plots that are then foiled by the agents monitoring them.

The last such plot purportedly involved an alleged attempt to blow up a fuel pipeline at John F Kennedy airport in New York in 2007; the defendants are awaiting trial in a case that depends heavily on evidence from an undercover CW.

“One question [about the synagogue case] that has to be answered is: did the informant go in and enlist people who were otherwise not considering trouble ?” said Kevin Luibrand, who represented a Muslim businessman caught up in another FBI sting three years ago. “Did the government induce someone to commit a crime?”

ABC News Reports On Secret Meeting Of The Rich, Yet Ignores Bilderberg Completely

Corporate news network baffled at how media could have missed story, yet omits completely the fact that 150+ elitist powerbrokers meet in secret every year with barely a whimper from the establishment press

ABC News today devoted a prominently featured three page story to a “secret meeting” of rich philanthropists which took place earlier this month in New York, and yet one of the biggest news corporations in America was completely silent during a far more important meeting of around 150 of the world’s powerbrokers at the Bilderberg conference last week.

At time of press, the ABC News story is the second top story on the website under the headline, America’s Richest Givers’ Secret Meeting.

“Under a cloak of secrecy, some of the world’s wealthiest people gathered in an unprecedented meeting early this month in New York City possibly to coordinate strategies for giving their vast fortunes to charity in the midst of the financial crisis,” begins the report, before descending into a deluge of fawning idolatry about how people like David Rockefeller, Bill Gates and Ted Turner, who has repeatedly called for world population to be reduced by a shocking 95% as well as a one child policy instituted in the west, are committed to saving the poor from the ravages of the economic crisis with their benign acts of philanthropy.

The report states that the meeting is “enough to spark the imaginations of conspiracy theorists everywhere,” linking to a previous ABC News report that implies people who believe that powerful individuals conspire to rule the world in secret are probably mentally ill.

The most vomit inducing paragraph of the whole article arrives when ABC asks, “There remain as many questions about the meeting’s details as there are about the logistics behind its organization. How did some of the world’s most public figures coordinate their schedules, travel, and security with no one in media knowing about it?”

Well how indeed did they manage to do that I wonder? 150+ of the global elite manage to do it on a routine basis every single year without barely a whimper from the corporate media, despite the location of the Bilderberg meeting leaking in advance every time.

They manage to do it because the corporate media was castrated decades ago and is merely a PR machine for the establishment, which is why they dutifully follow orders not to report on what would otherwise be a gargantuan story of worldwide interest in the form of the secret Bilderberg Group meetings.

ABC News is owned by the Walt Disney Company, Vice Chairman of which is Roy Disney, nephew of Walt Disney himself. Roy Disney is a Bilderberg member, having attended the secretive cabal’s 1999 conference in Sintra, Portugal.

Since all Bilderberg members adhere to “Chatham House Rules,” forbidding the revelation of anything that was discussed, it’s unsurprising that ABC refused to report on the global elite’s annual confab in Greece near Athens last week, a story that dwarves this much vaunted “meeting of the rich” in terms of both the number and the influence of the numerous powerbrokers who attended.

Bilderberg 2009 coverage was left to a gaggle of alternative media citizen journalists who were harassed, stalked, detained and physically assaulted every step of the way by secret police and security goons at the behest of Bilderberg.

ABC News’ “meeting of the rich” exclusive is a pathetic attempt at convincing its declining audience that the corporate media has any interest in uncovering the secret agenda of the elite, when in reality the story is nothing more than a sophistic exercise in ass kissing and creeping adulation for people like David Rockefeller and Ted Turner, who are portrayed as philanthropic saviors of the planet, when they are in fact nothing more than globalist scum intent on destroying U.S. sovereignty and eliminating us “useless feeders” by means of population reduction programs which they have routinely advocated.

UK: Hepatitis C patients given contaminated blood refused compensation

Thursday, May 21st, 2009

The ‘anguish’ of thousands of hepatitis C patients given contaminated blood was compounded by the Government refusing to offer compensation, it has been claimed.

Nearly 2,000 people have died as a result of exposure to the tainted blood and many suffer debilitating illness.

But now the Government has announced it would only increase payments to those who contracted HIV, not to victims with hepatitis C, and it rejected calls to set up a statutory advisory panel to consult with patients over the issue of blood product safety.

Lord Archer condemned the Government’s response as “deeply disquieting”.

He said: “It is a faltering step that only compounds the anguish of the afflicted and bereaved. It is difficult to avoid the conclusion that humanitarian impulses have come a bad second to Treasury constraints.”

In the Government’s response to the Archer inquiry ministers pledged to increase the annual payments to those with HIV to £12,800 but this was dismissed as ‘paltry’ by Lord Archer.

Panel votes to investigate ‘Extremism’ report

“When this DHS-produced assessment first surfaced in April, like many Americans, I had issues with its content,” said Rep. Bennie G. Thompson, Mississippi Democrat and chairman of the committee.

“Certainly its definition of ‘rightwing extremism,’ which did not clarify that extremist violence was the department’s true focus, raised considerable concern,” Mr. Thompson said. “So did the suggestion that returning war veterans posed a potential threat to the homeland.”

7/7 victims’ anger over report ‘spin’

Tuesday, May 19th, 2009

The Mirror >> 19th May 2009

Victims of the 7/7 suicide bombings have accused ministers of trying to “spin” a report on the terror attacks.

The security services are expected to be cleared of any blame for the atrocity when a watchdog’s findings are published this morning.

But victims and their families will only have three hours to read the Intelligence and Security Committee’s report before it is made public. In contrast, ministers have had the report for weeks and leaks have already said MI5 is in the clear.

Rachel North, who has spoken for victims of the 2005 London terror attacks, accused ministers of trying to “tilt the playing field”. She added: “I would say that they have treated us shabbily.”

Newsweek editor Fareed Zakaria confronted on Bilderberg and 9/11

WeAreChange Ohio questioned Newsweek editor Fareed Zakaria at Mount Union College in Alliance, Ohio, about his attendance at the 2003 Bilderberg conference and the statements by General Hamid Gul on his CNN show.

When asked about the Bilderberg conference in Versailles in 2003, Zakaria tried to downplay the importance of the annual meeting, which brings together many of the most powerful business, political and media figures from around the world.

Despite Zakaria’s flippant remarks, evidence has come forth to support the contention that these leaders are assembled in order to march in lock-step on certain globalist policies – from the creation of the European Union and the Euro, to artificially-created fluctuations in oil and stock market prices.

Zakaria was also asked as to why there is a shroud of secrecy that surrounds the conference. Zakaria responded that the meetings are off the record because it allows for “freer and franker discussion.”

In addition to his attendance at Bilderberg, Zakaria serves on the boards the Council on Foreign Relations, and the Trilateral Commission. The CFR is instrumental in the unification of North America and managing the destruction of American sovereignty. Ultimately, these groups aim to strip individual citizens of their legal rights.

Zakaria was also asked about the statements of Pakistani General Hamid Gul, who was once the head of the ISI. On Zakaria’s CNN program “GPS”, Gul emphatically stated that 9/11 and the Mumbai attacks in November 2008 were each an “inside job.”

Interestingly, Zakaria said that Gul implicated Mossad in the attacks of 9/11. In fact, Gul stated that it was perpetrated by the “Zionists with the neocons.” One could say that it is implied that Mossad would act on behalf of Israel, but Gul did not specifically mention the intelligence agency.

Zakaria responded by referring to Gul as a “crackpot.” Political and media figures often resort to name calling when they are opposed by a group of highly credible scientists, scholars, military officers and intelligence analysts that are in support of 9/11 Truth.

UK: Three social workers suspended over abuser placed with children

Monday, May 18th, 2009

London Times >> 18th May 2009

Three social workers were suspended today after a youth with a history of sexual offences was placed in a home with two young children.

The parents were not told of the teenagers’ troubled history and only discovered that he had been carrying out repeated sexual assaults on their two-year-old son and nine-year-old daughter months later.

The 19-year-old was jailed indefinitely earlier this year after admitting raping the boy and sexually assaulting the girl.

Vale of Glamorgan Council in South Wales today apologised “unreservedly” to the family for placing him with them.

An investigation overseen by the NSPCC found that social workers had been aware of his history but the information was not passed on when he became an adult. He spent several months living with the family under an adult placement scheme after becoming homeless.

UK: Children’s database launched

Monday, May 18th, 2009

ITN >> 18th May 2009

A database which holds the details of every child in the UK has become operational.

ContactPoint holds the name, ages, address and other information for an estimated 11 million youngsters in England for access by childcare professionals.

The £224 million system was set up following the death of Victoria Climbie, who was abused by her great aunt and her boyfriend, but has been hit by a series of delays and fears over security.

Technicians will start training around 800 practitioners including social workers, police and health care professionals to use the database.

The pilot users are based in 17 local authorities in the north west of England and national voluntary sector partners, the charities Barnardo’s and Kids.

More than 51,000 children deemed vulnerable have had their identities and information shielded, the Government said, after fears were raised about unauthorised access to data.

Ministers said ContactPoint would enable services for children to be more co-ordinated, freeing up more time for care.

Children’s minister Delyth Morgan said: “Under current arrangements if a practitioner believes that a child is at risk or may need additional support, for example if they have a disability, they may have no way of knowing whether other services might already be in contact with that child.

“We estimate that ContactPoint, when fully operational, can save at least five million hours of professionals’ time, freeing them up from trying to track down other practitioners and enabling them to spend more time on the child.”

The system holds the name, address, gender, date of birth for children up until their 18th birthday, and their contact details for parents or carers.

Also held are details for the child’s school, GP and other healthcare services such as social workers.

Last summer ContactPoint’s launch was delayed a second time due to technical issues.

The Liberal Democrats have previously called for the project to be scrapped, calling it “intrusive”, and the Tories have also raised concerns about its security.
